Flyer Electric was established in 1982, and originally operated out of Birch Hills, Saskatchewan. We initially focused on residential and commercial electrical projects, but quickly expanded our services to the industrial electrical construction and maintenance sector.
The original owner operated the company until he retired in 2011, when Flyer Electric was sold to Athabasca Basin Development and Sakitawak Development Corporation. With this sale, Flyer Electric was now majority owned by Indigenous Saskatchewan communities. We are proud to be 100% Saskatchewan owned and based in Saskatchewan, and we have expanded to four locations in Birch Hills, Regina, Saskatoon, and Swift Current to better serve our customers, many of whom have been with us throughout our entire history.
As of September, 2023, Flyer Electric has established a new partnership with the Touchwood Agency Tribal Council for Treaty 4 to support employment for Indigenous communities with different training opportunities.
Our company continues to work on commercial and industrial projects province wide. Our extensive portfolio includes projects in mining, power generation, water treatment, oil & gas, and a recent focus on renewable energy such as wind and solar power. No matter what your project size or type, our expertise in electrical system integration results in improved efficiency, safety and asset protection.
