Extensive work on this site as well, involved new propane farm installations, pump houses, massive freeze system expansion, surface and underground work, new maintenance office/ equipment shop maintenance facility and many other projects.

Upgrade of existing lighting to LED lighting over the ice surface of 4 rinks utilizing the SaskPower rebate program. Ice Arenas upgraded include Jack Staples, Murray Balfour, Clarence Mahon, and Jack Hamilton.
This project involved a large expansion on the existing WTP, including all filters, pumps, instrumentation, controls, and emergency power systems. Also included in this contract was installation of a new PLC c/w all programming required. The approximate cost of this project was $350,000.00. The contract controller was Associated Engineering.
This project consisted of the demolition and construction of a new automated SPS within the community. The work included all controls and automation, power, lighting, and emergency power generator. The approximate cost of this contract is $150,000.00. The project was controlled by Bullee Consulting.
Inspected and energized power to the site via generator systems after being decommissioned for over 10 years. There was much vandalism and copper theft, so this was a time consuming project.

This project was for a complete new treatment building for the First Nation. This project included all major power, emergency backup generator, MCC, instrumentation, and controls required. This project began in the fall of 2016 and is complete February of 2018. Approximate contract cost was $700k. This contract was controlled by JRC Engineering.
Pond Feeder Replacement project; included in this project was approximately 3.5km of 750mcm/3c 25kv Airguard cable and fibre optic cable to replace the existing aging cabling. This project was very complex, simply based on the fact that in approximately a 1km area we had 90 utility crossings to execute; the project was completed without any incidents. Also completed on this site, fire alarm detection systems, as well as Sapphire system and thermowire detection system installations.

Underground diesel bay construction consisting of a very large underground diesel mechanic’s bay for maintenance on underground equipment. This contract included 15kv sled connections, all lighting, small power, equipment connections, power distribution skids, overhead crane wiring, etc. (Nov 2014-Feb 2015). Also on this site we have completed fire alarm Sapphire system installations and storage barn conveyor fire detection.
Complete electrical installation of 100,000 ft2 building. All motor control and power wiring for the construction of the production areas. Many freezer and cooler systems, data system, fire alarm system, ongoing maintenance ever since the construction was completed.
Complete installation of all electrical, automation, controls, and emergency power systems for this new facility. This new facility is to service a new subdivision of the reserve, as well as the newly built school. Project kick off was in winter of 2015 and was completed in fall of 2016. Approximate value of this contract was $600K.

15kv cable tray replacement, fire alarm system c/w sapphire systems.
This project included all instrumentation and controls required to automatically monitor and control the city water filtering systems. It included demolition of the existing systems, and installation of all new cabling, tray, controls, instruments, and control platforms. This project began in the spring of 2016 and is scheduled for completion in spring of 2018. Approximate contract cost was $250,000.00. This contract was controlled by AECOM.
This project involved the upgrades of many SPS buildings throughout the city of Prince Albert. Included in the work was a large amount of instrumentation, controls, PLC systems installations and wiring, as well as emergency power systems throughout. Approximate duration of this work was 2.5 years and 8 stations. Approximate cost of this contract was $2M. This project was controlled by Bullee Consulting.
Renovation to the main and second floor of the Forensic Laboratory with installation of new low voltage lighting control systems, public address and sound masking systems. This was a staged renovation to accommodate tenant with minimal impact and disruption to their services
This project included 138kv power wiring to feed a new power transformer, 15kv cable duct form transformer to new switchgear. A VFD and all instrumentation and controls required to automatically monitor and control the transformer and pump drive. Instrumentation included for the monitoring of the new pump motor. Design and construction of support steel for cable duct. Grounding systems for all new equipment. This project began in the fall of 2015 and was operational in April of 2016. Approximate contract cost was $500,000.00. This contract was controlled by MPE Engineering.
We have completed many successful projects in the past for SaskPower as a subcontractor such as: Edam Switching Station Civil – all in ground grid, fence grounding, structure grounding, and testing of the grid (all cad-welding) - subcontract to Points Athabasca Contracting -Points North Substation Expansion – reworked ground grid and structure grounding (cad-welding)- subcontract to Points Athabasca Contracting -Security System Installations (cameras, motion detectors, door entry systems, all cabling) on the following Switching station sites ; Condie, Poplar River, Boundary Dam, Aberdeen, Beatty, Coteau Creek, Regina South - subcontractor to Tyco Integrated Security (SimplexGrinnell).
Fire Protection Upgrades – this project included the complete design, engineering, and construction of a new fire suppression and detection system through the site. Incorporated was multiple Victaulic Vortex hybrid water mist systems through the generators, as well as wet sprinkler systems in many common areas. Detection and releasing duties were completed through multiple panels, all networked together to provide a modern fire detection system, including Fenwal heat detection and Protectorwire systems throughout. The majority of the work was required to be completed during multiple shutdowns with strict completion dates and no lost production. This project carries a value of approximately $2.5M, and was started in March 2018 with completion scheduled for February 2019.
This project included the complete electrical systems for this shop / office addition to the existing facility; electrical distribution, lighting, overhead crane, small power, equipment feeds, cable tray, etc. required to give a completely functional building. The project began in the winter of 2016 and will be complete in the spring of 2017.
Included in this project was installation for two 750mcm/3c 15kv Airguard cable and grounding cables to increase the underground substation capacity. As part of the project, included was cable tray systems, and installation of multiple 15kv JBs on multiple levels in the mine. This project was extremely complex because of the aging shaft steel and the extreme weight of the cable down the shaft; all cable was installed from top down using special installation methods; the project was completed without any incidents. This project was managed directly by VALE.
